Congratulations to all that participated at the Semi-Serious VII Meet.

57 EOMAC swimmers participated, with 23 great EOMAC relays. 7 EOMAC Records were broken at the meet:

• Mark Forsyth : 50 back (33.07) and 400 free (4:38.10)
• Nicole Mallette : 400 IM (6:42.06, without a dive and over 5 seconds faster than the 20 year old record held by Sue Gustavison)
• Brian Sheridan : 100 IM (1:26.17, over 8 seconds faster than Dieter’s 2003 record)

• Cindy Bertelink, Dawn Orr, Nancy Gribben and Sarah Ingleton : 200 free relay at 160 age (2:07.02, old record was 2:15.35)
• Maria Cherry, Tineke Bertelink, Susan Robertson, Colleen Sheilds : 200 free relay at 240 age (2:44.72, old record was 2:55.97)
• Dieter Teschner, Charlie Lane, Brian Sheridan, Roger Barker : 200 medley relay at 280 age (3:17.46 brand new record)

Well done the eleven swimmers who raced in the London outdoor long course meet on Saturday July 9: in no particular order Dawn Babin, Ron Armstrong, Colleen Shields, Charlie Lane, Chantal Tome, Anna Togias, Carole Konstantinou, Nicole Mallette, Maria Cherry, Marcela de Laat and Chris Nagy.
Two Ontario LC records were set; Dawn Babin 110 Back, and Ron Armstrong 200 IM. Three club records were also set, by Colleen Shields in 200 IM and Charlie Lane in 50 Fly and 200 Fly.

9 ER’s, club records…..

All 14 members swam well and enjoyed the extra pain and suffering that goes with LC competition.

ER honours were earned by….
2 for Liz Dineen – improved her own records in 50 and 100 back, and came within a second of another in 200 back.
2 for Anna Orzechowska – smashed the 14-yr old 200 IM club record and set the 400 IM record for her age group.
2 for Colleen Shields – took down one of Sylvia’s oldest records from 1990 in 100 back, and demolished the 800 free mark from 10yrs ago.
1 big one for Anna Togias – at the very end of the meet Anna eclipsed our 400 IM record destroying a time set 23yrs ago when little Anna was just 2yrs old!
1 huge monkey off Charlie’s back – set the 100 fly record for his age group.
1 for our girls 100+ medley 200m relay- Liz D, Anna T, Anna O, and Allison Tipler- beating a 9-yr old ER done at one of the London winter meets.
Best swims also by Carole Konstantinou, Marina Silverio, Jean-Marc Civalleri, Steve Sorocky, Al Stratton, Jay Yoo and Hugues Dionne.
All 14 earned ribbons incl many 1sts, 2nds, 3rds.
